We are definitely pushing our date back a couple months into 2007. These are the two we're debating on which would you rather choose?
May 20th or June 3rd.
I'd prefer May, only reason I'm debating it is because it is my dad's bday and even though hes cool with it, I'm still not sure.

Re: Poll
I say June only because if you remember, this year and 2 years ago it was still cold until mid May. June you have a better chance of nicer weather.

Re: Poll
Hmmmm....My first choice was May when I was deciding on a day but ended up with June.
I wanted the daylight still in the evening so during my cocktail hr my guests could still go outside and it not be dark. Plus it is still a bit chilly in May.
You have to choose what works for the both of you.
Good Luck!!!!!!

Re: Poll
I'd chose June unless the prices are a lot higher than May. Only b/c May is usually still kinda cold and rainy. But it's still a nice month, and it's all springy!

Re: Poll
I was told that if you go in without a specific date you can get a better price. If you are undecided, see what date is available at the hall of your choice, and what they can do with the price.
My sister got married May 15, 2004. It was sunny, beautiful and 75! The CH was outside and the weather was perfect.

Re: Poll
Never go by weather. That is always a gamble. May is a rainy month and June can be too. Look at 2 years ago. It rained almost every single day in June. The only reason I remember this is because I had just graduated from college and we had an outdoor party. LUCKILY it didn't rain. But if I tell you that June it didn't rain 5 days I'm not exaggerating.
So go with what you feel more comfortable with. If you prefer May, go with May, if you rather June, then June it is. But don't do it for the weather, unless it is something drastic like debating July and December. JMO.

I agree-I was married in February and had a 60 degree day for the most part. It sounds like you want to stay away from May because of the b-day but the big picture is what can you see when you think about your wedding day and your anniversary date? Do you like to say I was married in May or I was married in June? it's a very personal choice and I remember quite a few Memorial days where it was 90 degrees and we needed air conditioning. I guess I'm leaning towards May because the deeper you get into the summer months the hotter it can be. It's sweaty under the dress!

Re: Poll
So as of right now we have June 3rd on hold.
FH will try to get down there today after work if the rain dies down a little.
I'll keep you guys posted.
I'm sad though when I went to change the date in account info to June 3rd it was over 500 days, I got so upset I changed it back to my original date.
