We rented an apartmetn when we were dating/engaged and our lease was up right after we were married . We actually satred looking and found our house 2 days after we came home from Aruba. We feel it was the smartest thing because it is an investment...we live in the money from our wedding....So we are not poor just House poor

It is so much better than wasting the money by renting

we are presently renting and basically wasting money doing that- i hope to get a house in a year- but houses on long island are too expensive- hopefully the prices will come down- i doubt it

I live in an apt above my dad's house now (he rents the bottom too and live in Queens/Florida). We will stay there for a few years to save $$$ because we are paying a very low rent and it is a nice size apt. We could even stay there with a baby but FH wants a house BADLY.

We both own, and will live in my place at first, and rent his. We probably will start looking for a new place within 6 months

We are renting a townhouse right now and waiting for our new home in Dix Hills to be finished being built.
They say it should be ready by the summer.
It's part of a whole slew of homes under construction there.. you may be able to catch a glimpse of them off the LIE if you drive pass that way.

We could of bought something before but we waited a few years so we could have the dream house.
Before the condo it was apartments for many years.

We will definetely be renting when we get married. Hopefully we will get an apartment a couple months before the wedding that FH can move into & live alone for a little before I come to haunt him after the wedding!!! HAHA If we waited to get a house to get married we would be getting married in 2020. HA! Hopefully the market will improve by the time we are married for a couple of years.
