My parents are contributing, but not sure how much yet; once we pick a place and start booking vendors, I am sure there's gonna be some dough from them. FMIL, I am not too sure. I don't think she helped FBIL with his wedding but I am pretty sure she did with FSIL, but all of our incomes and situations are different. She is flying up for the e-party in December and giving us money

Nothing we are dojng it on our own, my mo is paying for me dress.

My parents are giveing us at least 15,000 (my siblings got that, but hey there is inflation right???) Plus paying for my dress and my bridal shower...I can't complain I am the youngest of 4 children...FMIL I am not quite sure yet...whatever she can give us will be greatly appreciated (hopefully she takes care of the Rehearsal Dinner)

ahhh i have been arguing with fh about this !!! i told him he needs to find out because depending on how much they can help with, will determine how much fh and i have to save, which will determine if we need to get second jobs etc... and im getting po'd because i really wanna book a rh already but i cant book something i may not be able to afford. so im still waiting for them to freakin answer !!!!

be careful you might be waiting a long time, ive been engaged for almost 16 months and i STILL dont have an answer from either set of parents. So this whole time ive been paying everything myself, and our Rh payments are every 2 months and sometimes every 3 months not to mention we have all our vendors booked and already paying 2nd installments for some of them. It would be nice so i can be a little less stressed for the next 6 months. I would be ok paying it all myself but our guestlist wouldnt be at the current 300-350 so i need to know soon or im cutting down the list lol. Although FIL's have paid for photography installments, and recently told us they'll give money towards the RH in december(fh's family is WAY over 100 ppl) dont know how much money though. So far ive paid about $15,000 for the RH on my own and by next week it will be $20,000 thats not including vendors so ppl really need to let me know bc im just gonna stop soon lol. I know my parents will contribute some but again don't know how much.

I know FIL's are paying for rehearsal dinner and my parents for Bridal shower

wow thats great you paid so much yourself! i plan to book the hall by december the latest , whether i get an answer or not from the in laws good luck with everything !

My mom is helping out by getting the invites & his mom is getting the favors.... the rest is up to us!

I've been paying it for a year already so it adds up. I know they'll be giving but everybody is waiting until right before the wedding for some reason i should just cut the guest list in half and say thats it i paid it off already and call it a day lol im sure thats when ill get results lol. FH's parents gave us $7500 for the deposit on the RH but said it was our wedding gift, so we hope to make that back. They are also going to throw us an e-party, pay for the rehearsal dinner and possibly a brunch the morning after the wedding.
My parents are paying for my dress, the shower, part of the flowers and photog) my Mom said they gave my sister about $10k in total so I will get the same unless they can afford more.
The rest is up to FH and I.

We've never asked and FFIL has never offered anything. He did ask recently what we want as an engagement present and then suggested something like a dining room set. First I was like, hmm... has he been in our dining room? We already have furniture. So I'm figuring whatever he would have put toward that we'll ask him to put toward a vendor.

My parents are giving us $20,000 but we get it as a gift after the wedding unless we tell them we need it. FH and I both have pretty good jobs so thankfully we will be able to pay all of it up front.

I just don't expect ANYONE to pay for our wedding. We chose to get married, our parents did not make this decision for us.

The only thing FMIL has done was make food for the E-party....when we told her it was being fully catered.



Other than that...its up to my daddy and FH & I
