FH's parents are deceased. His step-mom payed for the DJ which really helped. And his cousin (one of my BM's) is throwing me a bridal shower. My parents are paying for the RH, and were paying for everything else.

FH parents are paying for the DJ, Flowers, the Rehearsal Dinner & maybe the day after brunch. My parents are paying for the entire RH bill and we have to cover anything else.

we are paying for everything ourselves.....not sure if either one of our families will contribute - maybe for the shower or towards the end but we are prepared to pay for everything and dont expect either one of our families to chip in at all.....it would be a nice surprise if someone offered to pay for something but there is a fat chance of that happening!

We are basically paying for everything. His parents are just taking car of the rehearsal dinner and my parents paid for e-party, shower, my dress, and ended up paying for the cake.

FH's parents paid/are paying for:
RH deposit ($7500-it really was our wedding gift)
Engagement party
rehearsal dinner
brunch the morning after (possibly)

My parents:
My dress
shower
helping with photog
helping with flowers

Everything else FH and I will be paying for (somehow)

well my case is my FH parents said they will only give us 20,000.00 and the rest will be up to us.... my parents are not around to pay for anything.(my father has pasted and my mother lives in korea- she has not been in my life for a very long time)
I am not sure if that will be half or most HAHAHHA

We are very lucky, our parents are each giving us $5,000 towards the wedding.

On top of that:

My mom paid for the e-party and is paying for the shower, my grammy is buying my dress and day of accesories, my aunt is paying for my hair and make-up.

His family tipped the waitstaff for the e-party, paying for the rehearsal dinner.

We are paying for the rest by ourselves.

My mom is paying for most of it and FH's parents said they would pay for the photo/video. Well, I've already given a deposit and they haven't mentioned anything about money. So who knows for sure. Maybe I'll get something at somepoint. FH and I are saving to pay for whatever we can, or whatever my mother doesn't want to pay for. We are very lucky!!
