How does everyone feel about their FMIL (think back before the wedding planning .... did you like/hate her back then too?)

I liked her in the beginning, that is, until I started working with her. Now I want to punch her in the face and stuff a ball of socks in her mouth.

Generally, I love her. She has her moments though. She's kind of like Marie Barone; she means well but tends to go about things in the wrong way. But I can't complain, she's been nothing but supportive to FH and I.

I heart my FMIL...I mean she annoys me at times... but what mother doesnt!!!!! I know I can have it ALOT WORST!!!!!!! I think every GIRl and their FMIL are going to have their differences.

ETA: Before the wedding I didn't hate her as much as I do now...but I didn't like her, and she had a lot of problems with me...Christmas this year we were supposed to 'start over' but then she snubbed me and didn't even say goodbye...so now I'm done with her, and she can kiss my pasty white a$$.

Thats funny--MY mom is like Marie Barone, when I complain about her to FH, he always says 'she's sweet and she means well, so let this argument go.'
FMIL is an angel---and loves having me as the first lady in the famiy after having 3 boys!

She has her days! One day she could be as sweet as anything and another day a real biatch.
Funny story: The 1st time I met her FH and I took her out for dinner. During the appetizer she decided to give us the birds and bees speech. I almost choked on my calamari and FH turned Now - remember we are both in our 40's and she is doing this in the middle of the restaurant.
I have since found out she speaks her mind no matter what the subject is and she does care what people think. Thats my FMIL!
