Poll about MOB dress

Is it ok for the MOB to wear a black gown? the gown is very classic and formal

The bridesmaids will be in charcoal and the wedding is Black tie optional

went to a wedding in Nov 2010. Bridesmaids were in Navy, MOG was in black & she looked fabulous!
