We opened a joint savings account after our engagement party and dumped in what we got from that. We've been depositing what we can ever since.

We opened one also to try saving for the wedding. We also figured that this would be where we deposit all monetary e-gifts and wedding gifts.

we got engaged in Jan 2003 and we just opened a joint acct in Oct 2003.
