me, too. All I see every year is a bunch of 17 year old kids smoking cigarettes going house to house and harrassing people. 3 years ago, after we put our light out, our jack o'' lanterns were thrown against our house. Since then, I have detested Halloween. Nothing good ever happens on that day. (JMO)

Well, I just got off the phone with FMIL, and she said that some teenagers in her neighborhood stole her neighbor''s ride on mower and left it in the middle of the main road they live off of![]()
THAT is why Halloween loses its fun to me!

I NEVER liked halloween, even as a kid. I didn''t like dressing up, trick or treating, even the candy. I still don''t and I will never understand the vandalism that''s associated with it. ![]()

I do not celebrate and I will not allow my children to celebrate either. I think the kids dressed up are cute but the grown folks with the costumes looking all demonic and what not. I can''t wait for this day to pass. There are hoards of young boys with eggs waiting to cause trouble. ![]()

i only enjoy it because i get to see my students dress up, and they are so cute and excited about trick or treating. I like seeing the kids have fun, but I dont need to go out or dress up at all!

I have always disliked halloween. It always scared me, the masks actually terrify me. I hate to open the door because I get THAT scared. I think the kids are adorable but I hate when the teens come to the door encrusted in shaving cream and expect to get candy. Give it some thought to the costume.

I liked the parties in school and at friend''s houses growing up. I have ot admit I did my share of shaving cream spraying in the 7th and 8th grade (I never did the egg throwing b/c we had our car vandalized once) but let me tell you we never were as bad as the kids I saw tonight.
It wasn''t even 7pm and they were covered, smothered in shaving cream. I turned up my street and there''s a whole row of apartments on my side and there was shaving cream all over the front of one of the buildings. Apparently they got my building bad too but fortunately my super washed it off right away with a hose. Disgusting.

I like it and I love to see the kids dressed up but I am with you guys with the fear of vandalizing and kids throwing eggs. Gary and I were driving earlier and there was this older kid walking alone and he shined a light right into our car, what is up with that, talk about bold! ![]()

I love Holloweena and always have. I even dressed up this year as a Gothic Angel. I went down to the bowling alley where dh bowls every friday all dressed up!
I find it fun. I even like scaring the kids. Not too much though. I still want them to sleep.
But as a side note.....I never will encourage or saw the need to vandalize anything. I just like dressing up. People whom do that have no respect or anything or anyone.

Halloween memory tangent coming ![]()
I grew up in a building and our neighbor on the 6th floor would have the most elaborate costumes. One year he was a mummy - wrapped from head to toe. When we got to that floor to trick or treat he was coming down the hall and scard the bejessus out of us. We would not go anywhere near the 6th floor for months after that.![]()
