POLL: Are you showing people your dress?

When I went dress shoppping the woman told me that I shouldn't show anyone my dress, so everyone will be suprised when I walk down the aisle and not think 'oh yeah, there it is'

But that seems like it would be really hard to do, everyones always asking and I haven't even got one yet.

Just wondering if anyone is trying to keep it a secret and how thats working out so far?

I voted showing everyone, but that's everyone I actually see on a regular basis, which is a really small number of people that will be accounted for at my wedding. No matter what the dress looks like when I show people, it will NEVER look the same as when I walk down that aisle! JMO

Same here! My Mom, grandma, great grandma, FMIL, All of the BM's and MOH, my 2 aunts, and 2 other friends.
My female coworkers have see a picture.
Thats all I'm gonna show!

I showed my dress to my mom (who was there DUH), 2 BM's and THAT IS IT! I agree...i want to surprise everyone when all of it is done, my hair, my make-up...etc..

I know i'll never be able to keep it a secret. I'll definalely be showing my close family and friend, and of course the girls at work!

Close family and all my friends.

I have also shown most of my co-workers but that was months and months ago so I still think it will be a surprise.

My mother shopped with me. Then I showed a girlfriend who I knew I would probably make hep me get into it when I got it (I knew it would take a while to get together with MOH).

I think they were the only three except for gals at work who were not going to be at the wedding.

I show everyone that asks.... I love my dress, and I figure they wont know what it looks like on me until the day of...

I love my dress and while I don't want to show everyone, I find myself being so excited about it that I'm showing more people than I planned.

The picture on the website, although of my dress, is in a different color (ivory) and you can see my long train. Besides, it'll look waaaaay better on me.

I showed everyone my first dress, but I exchanged it, and I'm not showing anyone but my mom and moh my dress!!! so nobody else knows I exchanged the other one, and they will be so surprised.. It is more exciting, if its a surprise

I showed my mom, sister, and FSIL the actual dress, and I showed the BM's and FMIL a pic of the gown online.

Mumms the word.

I only showed it to Mom...who was there with me. I don't think, anyone else should see it. It takes away from the surprise if everyone knows what you are already wearing!!!!

I voted keeping it a secret.

I was told the same thing when I got my dress. Personally I don't think it matters who sees it, it's not the same as how it looks on your wedding day. As for me, I didn't invite the world to see my dress but my mom, my grandma, moh and 2 of my bm's have seen it so far.
