My MOH will be in Shantung Silk and my BM will be in Satin. The colors are slightly off from each other, and definitely noticeable in person. However, the dress styles look awesome together. I'm just not certain about the color coordination. So, my question to you...is it ok to have colors that are slightly 'off' from eachother? I trust your judgement, as I have seen some really incredible ideas on this site!! Thanks for helping out.

Re: POLL: Bridal Party In Different Dresses?
Imo if all the BM are in one color and similar style that would be okay if its 'slightly' off color.
Also I was thinking that if differentiates the ladies from each other (MoH vs BM) if the colors are slightly off from each other and the styles are similar.
One other thing- lighting where your going to be at- it may be dimmed and not so bright that folks may not notice the slightly off color dresses.

I'm not big on being matchy matchy, personally. I think it's fine. Don't stress too much.

I would really need to see the dresses, but I think it should probably be fine. I'm not a matchy matchy person either though.

I think it is fine, but just be aware that in photos the fabrics will look different than IRL since the satin will reflect a flash more than Shantung. I would take a camera with you & do a flash test of the fabrics net to each other & see how it looks!

I am doing this also, but the key is all the same fabric....I really think that silk and satin look so different that it might be weird....and I think the comment about photographing weird could be true. It might actually be better if the color was a few shades off so it looks intentional, not close enough so that they're supposed to look the same...just my opinion though!

I am not into matching. I think it would look BETTER this way!

Re: POLL: Bridal Party In Different Dresses?
I'm big into everything matching...but if I had to choose, I think the fabric is the most important to be consistent. I'm thinking that in pictures, certain fabrics will reflect a certain amount of light and look shimmery/dull/bright, etc......I'd want that to at least be consistent. However, this is just my opinion and understand that I'm BIG into everything being uniform...so basically, I am not much of a help to you LOL

Re: POLL: Bridal Party In Different Dresses?
i had so many different blues in my BP...so i will say, if the dresses look great together who cares? My FG's blue accent was different than my MOH and then different from my bro's shirts and differnt than the RB's shirts...i like that they all don't match...here's a pic..
Mine are in the same color and different fabrics and its fine. I want them all to look different anyway, cus they are all very different shapped girls and would look silly all in the same dress. The dresses are the exact same color, but it can look different in the different materials. But I think i will be fine in the pictures- I wouldn't worry about it if I were you!!!
