My theme colors are Ivory, gold and hints of red. My Centerpeice is pure ivory roses with gold leaves on the stand that's shown below. I'm having issues making a decision on how to have the red color coordinated with my CP's so I decided to get red votive candles and the little red crystals that can be scattered on the table around the CP. My question is, should I put the red candle votive along with the red crystals, or the red candle votive only? Please help.

Are the votives in the actual CP holder going to be the red ones? I'm really not sure....how big are the crystals? Is that pic life size? I think they might get lost since the CP is so big and just look funny...

Oh no the votives in the centerpeice will be as seen in the picture. I wanted lots and lots of candles for my wedding so I planned on getting more votives to put down on the table around the centerpeice. Sorry for the confusion :(
that's not a lifesize pic of the crystals, it's smaller than that.

i think i'd do centerpieces only because it's a nice tall one. if it was short you may've needed tpo add to it

I voted for candles only. The crystals could make the table look messy. Also are you doing rose petals scattered? I would scratch that because again it could look messy. Jmo!

I voted for no candles. The crystals could make the table look messy. Also are you doing rose petals scattered? I would scratch that because again it could look messy. Jmo!
Yeah, i dont think I'll be doing the petals...and you're right the crystals would probably look a little outta place as well. thx.

Wow! You have a ton of great centerpiece pics. Many that I liked.
As for the red crystals and the votives I wouldn't do either I'ld just leave the high centerpiece.

I say no to the crystals...although adorable, i too think they're going to look messy on the table. I DO however think you can beautifully incorporate the votives....but instead of scattering petals and spacing out the votives, what about keeping it neat & elegant by putting a tight ring/pile of petals around the base of the centerpiece along with the votives....kinda like this idea in luvabuls albums...

just a thought - having the red votives may clash with the votives that are going up the stem of ur candelabra - what about either 1) replacing the clear votives w/red, OR 2) leaving the centerpiece as is, use a MIX of ivory & red petals around the base, but no extra votives????

one more thing....if u're really thinking of incorporating the red on the bottom - like i said u MAY be able to get away with mixed color petals ...but maybe think about putting splashes of red in the top floral arrangement....even if it's just a little bit just to tie the two together...

I also saw this in her album and thought it was really cute. I liked how the petals looked neatly around the cp's. I've made an appt with my florist so that he can show me some other ideas, as my vision has changed somewhat with all your advices. I kinda like the splash of red in the CP's that you mentioned. thx!

Can you do red tea lights in all the candle holders (centerpeice and table). Then it wont clash!
