Poll- Ceremony music Live or DJ

Hi.

I just want to know what you all are using.

I orginally was going to have my DJ do my ceremony music, but I hired a pianist. I really like the idea of live music at a wedding ceremony.

I prefer live music for the ceremony....we are getting a string trio.

I wanted live music also! I got a pianist Jim Lowe. Would have loved to have a harp, but too expensive for my budget

My sister had a harp and it was the most beautiful thing ever. She was so calm because of it!

I am having the dj play the music, becasue we are having it outside, and i thought it might sound better.

Now I am second guessing it though?!?

Since our ceremony was outside and at the reception location we had our DJ play the ceremony music.

Id like to do live, but i don't think we can afford it. I don't know how much they go for. If they are more than $100 then we'll just have DJ.

How much does Jim Lowe run? Does he have a website?

Jim is doing my ceremony for 150 and my cocktail hour for 50. So it is a total of 200. He usually charges 100 for cocktail hour, but he is trying to build up his clientel(sp?) So he is giving a 50 discount for cocktail hour. I met with him at his house, and he played for us. He also sent me 2 demo tapes. I highly recommend him! Good Luck!

He does not have a website. Although he will be putting one together through my FH. In the Future. Freelance work is always great!!!!!!! If you are interested, I can get you his number when I get home tonight, unless someone else has it.
