Besides my wedding cake, we have another dessert= Vanilla gelato sandwhiched between a nougatine waker & dipped in chocolate- is the chocolate fountain necessary?

I find chocolate fountains to be very messy. I love them - dont get me wrong - but I think they are too messy for a wedding when everyone is all dressed up. Maybe I am just too much of a klutz though! Everytime I have eaten from one I got it ALL over me!

I honestly think that by the time the chocolate fountain comes out - people will be stuffed and there's also a chance a lot of people will have left by then.
One of my friends gave me advice about extra desert after she spent more than 5 dollars per head extra for a vienesse hour and very few people stayed for it...

I guess they could be nice, but I have always found them to be a waste and a lot more for show than to eat.

I love chocolate but it sounds like you're having other yummy desserts, and at that point most people will probably be full, so I don't know if it's really worth it unless YOU really want one. I say save your $ JMO.

That is going to be my favorite food at my wedding. LOL...from a guests point of view, I loved it and I know others that loved it as well. But it is your wedding and you should do whatever you and FH want. Good Luck!

We had one at our wedding and it was a big hit. WHen I was looking at RH's the was one of my first few questions...it was a must for me! They are awesome! Not that I ate ANY of it at my wedding, but I know my guests throughly enjoyed it and it was a special touch. It is your call though!!

We wanted one, but are having a VH so it would be way too much. They ARE a little messy, but I still love them.
You are having cake and dessert so your guests will be fine (suggiciently sugared up ) It is not necessary at all...just fun.

I have a blast with the fountain. I love it. You can loose by having one. Ask your close friends and family if they would like it.

I love chocolate fountains, but Im sure there will be more than enough food and cake! Its definitely not necessary. Try to get your hall to throw it in!

I don't think it's necessary, but guests do enjoy it- especially the out-of-towners who may not have experienced it before.
We had it at my sister's wedding and everyone loved it. When we booked my wedding 5 months later, my dad asked for it - so we're having one.

I love chocolate fountains but we are not doing it. Too much money and there is enough to eat. So it's all about personal preference. I would say skip it.

YES, I am having one but my hall provides 3 if I want, YUMMMMMMM, I love coco fountains. When I am a guest at a wedding I cant wait to dip in. I want my guest to enjoy as well

My FH was SO opposed to the idea of a chocolate fountain and my MOH was SO into it that I was torn between the two! Luckily, the RH threw one in as a freebie, so I just told the FH that it was part of the contract and nothing we can do about it!
