ETA: It's locked 24/7 unless we're in the backyard then the side door may be unlocked.

Last year, I was talkling to a co-worker and she was so upset her car got robbed.
I said, OMG did they break the windows to get in?
She goes- no...why? I leave my car unlocked
People here upstate are nuts in my opinion

I never really thought about it...we always kept the one at my mom's house unlocked when we were home.
FH is very particular about locking it ALL the time...even if we are home. He is afraid of who might come in.

We usually leave the doors open during the day but lock them at night. My dog goes crazy if anyone comes in.

I keep it locked all the time now that DH and I live in a condo. When I lived at my parents' house, I only locked it if I was home alone and wanted to take a shower or it was late at night. I wasn't afraid there.

I always keep the doorknob lock locked.
If I'm home alone during the day (day off and DH is working) I'll also lock the bolt. Usually, I get in from work shortly before DH so I won't have the bolt locked.
On a nice day if the door is open I always have the screen door locked.

I don't worry about locking my car anymore, but the alarm is still there and turns on by itself.
We live in Brewster now but were in the city for a long time. The other day we went to get pizza and as we were leaving we passed a woman going in who left her car running! DH laughed and said 'We still worry about locking the car and some people don't even worry about turning theirs off.'
I keep the door locked when I am home alone, otherwise we only lock it at night. When I lived in Queens, my door was ALWAYS locked.

We live in an apt with an automatic lock, so we only actually bolt it most of the time.

I live in an apartment building, so we always lock. I think if I were in a private house, it would be if I were not going to be on the first floor and at night.

I lock my door a majority of the time.
My freshman year of college my roommate, and my hallmates, would never lock their doors. It drove me nuts!
In my old apartment, my roommates also sometimes didn't lock the door because they didn't want to bring their keys to wherever they were going
