ETA: It's locked 24/7 unless we're in the backyard then the side door may be unlocked.

WOW I never thought of this before but at my parent house the doors are only locked at night or if no one is home but me and FH live in a 3 family house and we double lock the door all the time. plus the Main door is locked all the time so you can kind of say that we have 3 locks that are always locked. But the door to our terrace is only locked when we are gone for more then a day.

FH is a cop so the door are bolted down with a chain and all. All the time!
He even locks the bedroom door at night when he's home. And every night he's at work and we say goodnight he asks 'is the door locked?'
I never used to be like that. Hell I was lucky if I had a key for more then a month. I lose everything. I wouldn't lock my doors because I'd never get back in!
A house I lived in w/ a friend even got robbed once and I still would leave the doors open.
My dad always said 'Locks only keep honest people honest' If someone really wants to et in they'll just break a window!

Just watch an episode or two of Forensic Files and it'll reinforce that we all need to lock our doors ALL the time.

It's almost always locked. If we are in the backyard, the we'll close the side door but leave it unlocked.
