POLL: Do you plan on selling your dress after you're married?

I definitely plan on selling my dress after the wedding. I personally dont see a point in keeping it because I will never wear it again. (Plus I know I will probably be needing the money at that point...lol) I know a lot of people feel very connected to their dress and would never even dream of selling it. So Im wondering what you all plan on doing.

I will probably let it rot in my parents or FMIL's attic.

I think your plan is a little more sensible!

I voted yes...I am the exact opposite of a pack rat. If I won't use it, I get rid of it. Our dresses (mine and yours) both have the pickups and are HUGE to keep stored somewhere. I can always use some $$. I'll probably keep my veil as a small momento. Plus...will we ever FORGET our wedding...I don't think so

I dont know whats wrong with me. Im just not emotionally attched to my dress like a normal bride would be. Maybe its not really 'the one'. LOL

yeah, you could sell it on e-bay. theres also a bunch of different websites that are set up specifically for used dresses. Stores too. I think its more of a 'normal' thing to do now then it was maybe 10-20 years ago.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to part with it! Even if I needed the money...

I definately plan on selling it, Im hoping that the dress i bought is featured in a few ads in some bridal magazines this upcoming year.
its a spring 2008 gown that just came out, and i am hoping that gives me some selling power

I am not sentinmental, and i would love to keep it, but once its boxed up, you cant even take it out to look at it, so waht is the point, maybe i will make another brides day by selling my gown

I'm probably going to donate mine to charity. I'd love to help someone else out that might not be able to afford a wedding gown.

I will most definitely NOT sell it. One of my favorite memories as a little girl was playing dress up in my moms gown and veil. Even if my future daughter doesnt want to wear my gown I'd like for her to have that opportunity to put on my dress and pretend to be mommy!

Now If i have a son and he decides to want to wear my gown I'll have a whole new set of issues to deal with.

I am actually planning on keeping it - - my girlfriend just had a baby and her mother took her dress and used the material to make the new born crib - it was breath taking

I will definitely sell mine. I don't see the point in keeping it. My gown is also new, not even on the designer's website yet, hopefully i get a good price for it.
God knows I will need the money
