Re: POLL: Entrance to the reception
Only us- we only had a BM and MH so it made more sense.

We didn't do introductions at all, it just isn't our style.
Same here. We're not doing it.

Just Us.
We have too many sets of parents and too many in the bridal party.
My MOH is pressuring me to have the BP announced but it's just not my thing.

For those of you who aren't or didn't do introductions, how did that work? Were guests confused at all? Did you have the band leader or MC say something??
I'm undecided on how I want to handle this...

Well, we had a smaller wedding (100 guests) and we didn't have parents to introduce, and only a MOH and BM, so it was probably a different dynamic for us. We had a program in the church that gave names of the bridal party and the other people involved in the wedding.
The DJ did not say anything. We were at our CH, which was in an adjoining room, so when it was time to move into the room where the reception was, we simply walked in with the rest of the guests - the party just moved from one room to the other. I think the first time the DJ spoke was when he introduced the priest to do the blessing before dinner.

Thanks! I think that is what we are going to do as well. I am adamant about attending the cocktail hour...

Re: POLL: Entrance to the reception
Maybe you can just walk in and after people are settled have the MC ask for a round of applause for the happy couple- and if you want your BP recognized have them stand up and ask for applause for them too.
Now that I think about it that might not be a bad idea for me...
