POLL - Favors/Placecards - Does each couple get one, or each person?

I thought it was each person but then I was shopping around at the stores and the salespeople were talling me its one per couple!! What is it???

For example I was going to try the personalized votive...

one per couple
one per single person (that is when they are going by themself)

most of the weddings i have been to have been 1 per couple.

I love these with the hearts. I thought it was one per person also, but was corrected by everyone...its' one per couple!

Yep, one per couple. Could you imagine the cost if it were one per person? Thank goodness that it's one per couple.

I think it depends on the favor i.e., candy favors like M&M's or Jordan Almonds - 1 per person, crystal handle wine stopper 1 per couple (& 1 for single guests)
