I really wanted it to be when I walked down the aisle but he wants to take pics to make it easier on us later (we're getting married at the place so we don't have time between the ceremony and the cocktail hour).

We are doing pics. first. I really want to be at the cocktail hour to greet everyone, and this just makes it so much easier. The photographer is going to take a pic of the first time he sees me.

We're also doing pics before the ceremony. I will have the photographers and videographer catch our first moment together. I'm actually looking forward to sharing that moment privately instead of in front of 200 guests.

Hopefully not until I walk down the aisle! We're getting married at a small resort where he'll be doing the set-up while I get ready. I'm praying that he won't accidentally see me while we're both on the property!

That's what FH said. It's given me something to think about because I do not want to miss the whole cocktail hour either. This is all foreign to me because my whole family got married in churches so there was always plenty of time in between for pics.

FH is actually coming by in the morning to pick up the flowers and money for vendors. We'll all have breakfast together and then he's off - we'll see each other at the church.

He's not going to see me until I'm walking down the aisle of the church. We have time to take pictures inbetween church & reception or else we'd probably take them before.

We wanted to enjoy most of our Cocktail Hour, and the first 20 minutes of it we are having alone time anyway.
It's all a matter of what's most important to you. I just wanted a First Sight MOMENT - it didn't have to be when I walked down the aisle. It couldn't have been at that moment anyway, because we have to sign the Ketubah before the ceremony anyway!

Same here. Our videographer is going to help set this up for us. He showed us ones he did like this in the past and it made me cry. It was so beautiful. Then we have private time together. Besides, we didn't want to miss our CH. We want to enjoy every minute of our wedding!

That sounds really nice, this private time. It's true - we're not going to get very much that day and by the time the wedding's over, we're probably going to be so exhausted it won't really be quality time.
