Poll: Flowergirl Basket or kissing ball?

I can either get a flowergirl basket with pink fabric and white pearls on it or get a kissing ball with pink flowers. which should i get? Sorry no pictures.

I'm having a flower basket, my flowergirls will be tossing petals. I have always loved the way it looks.

What is a kissing ball anyway?

All the florists we've spoken to advised against the Kissing Ball for such young girls (under 7) - b/c it's heavier and b/c it can be used as a weapon.

That being said, we're giving our Jr. BM (who's 10) one and giving the Flower Girls baskets.

The kissingballs are soooooooo pretty, but a basket is more practical for a younger FG.

I am going to use the basket for this reason. The kissing balls are beautiful but I think my flower girl how is going to be 6 when we get married would be better with the basket.

from what i understand, the basket is better, because the kissing ball doesn't last very long

My FG is 3.5 and I am so excited to watch her toss petals in front of me. She is also anxious for her 'special job'.

Im getting the kissing ball... only b/c my church doesnt allow flower petals to be put down and an empty basket or one filled with something else or fake petals i just dont like.

I actually had my youngest flower girl carry a pomander/kissing ball. I made it myself. It actually looked great. My middle girl carried a basket and then my older girls carried small bouquets. (I had 4 Fgs 2, 4, 7)
