no, I want it covered completely.. I don't want any of the green from the stems running or leaking and ruining my gown..

I had mine complelety covered, but my BM's were open. The best of both worlds!

I had originally wanted the stems showing on my bouquet but my florist suggested they be covered so that it wouldn't stain or leak on my dress. He said that if I wanted to keep them showing he probably wouldn't have them as wet so I wouldn't have to worry about that as much but then I would take the chance of them wilting sooner.
I chose to have them covered and not worry about it.

Mine was covered but the girls was uncovered. As long as your florist remove them from the water early enough with time to dry a bit you will be fine. My florist rested the bo-k with some tissue paper and news paper, not one dripped.

Mine was almost completely covered, maybe a 1/4-1/2 inch showed.
