POLL - Help Me decide

I chose Friday because I am having an Friday evening wedding. But a good point was raised with location of guest. Most of our guest are local and the ones that are coming in from out of town are taking Friday off, which can be an inconvenience sometimes.

I voted for Friday PM because I prefer evening weddings- I think everyone loosens up a bit more, and because people are off on Saturdays

I chose Saturday AM.

Here are the reasons:

1. I wanted a day when most people were off AND had the next day off so that they could fully enjoy the entire day without the stress of 'I have to get up early tomorrow' or 'I have to take the day off/leave early/run around like crazy to get ready after work'. The only day that fit the bill was Saturday.

2. I wanted a WHOLE wedding day. I wanted to get ready early, get married relatively early and spend the rest of the day celebrating.

3. I wanted an afterparty - time to just chill and celebrate with my nearest and dearest before departing for my wedding night with FH. I didn't want the afterparty to be too later

4. I have 2 children - plus I wanted people to be able to bring their kids to the wedding - daytime was just more amenable to the schedule of little kids.

a Fridady night is good b/c most people have the following day off and the guests can do it up like a real party. i was asked about those options and having it in the evening was the best. you also have more time to get ready!

Okay, so i must close this poll, and i have made the desicion.

I called up RH and they told me that Friday PM is already booked.

Thats fine. I called mom, sis, and 2 close friends, and they agree that Saturday AM would make nice a spring wedding.

So there it is.

I will tell you where it will be after this saturday when i go do the paper work. Dont wanna jinx myself

we picked Saturday afternoon b/c like you, we were planning a wedding at the time of year where it was dark by 6:30. We wanted to make sure that we had a lot of light for outdoor pictures and because we got married at a place right on the water and we wanted our guests to be able to enjoy it.
