I'm having a hard time figuring out a budget for the honeymoon!

We're doing two honeymoon's. FH and I are going away for a long weekend to Newport, Rhode Island because of work obligations. Then in Jan/Feb, we're going to either the Bahamas or US Virgin Islands.

Budget: No idea. The Rhode Island part is done and reserved and cost is less than $500, but we haven't looked into the Caribbean cost. It's been suggested to me to expect $5000 on the honeymoon with the travel costs, touristry stuff, insurance, etc.

Length: 8 night, 9 days in Caribbean and 2 night, 3 day in Newport.

We're going to Spain for three weeks, we set a budget but we went way over

We picked a budget -- random number out of thin air...$5K. But we've already gone over (thank goodness for tax refunds!) I think it all depends on your logic -- do you want to go someplace exotic that you think you'll never return to? Is there a place you've always dreamed of going and never have?

I'm going to Hawaii for 9 nights/10 days. That's my dream trip so we already went over before the touristy stuff and lunch/dinner (we got bfast included.)
