Just curious how many of you live with FH. When we started pre-cana we swore we wouldn't say we were living together, turns out the other two couples in our group also live together and made no effort to hide it, so why should we?

We dont live together. We are fairly traditional and although a part of us wanted to live together, we decided not to. We really wanted it to be something new and exciting when we got married and moved in together for the first time. We didnt want to feel like we were married until we really got married. And I can say I am so glad we made that decision! Plus like someone else said we have saved alot of money and are debt free and are now buying a house and paying for our wedding ourselves!!!

We live together.
We lived separately for 2 years and then moved in together renting for about 2 years and then bought a house. We have been in our house for a 1 year and 3 months.

We have been living together for more than a year now!! I can honestly say it is one of the best things we have ever done for our relationship!

Nope, didn't live together before we got married. I wanted the excitement of living together for the first time after the marriage. Also- really there wasn't going to be any 'deal breakers'.... IMO an annoying little habit doesn't make or break a relationship.
I'm very happy that we didn't because it really forced us to get to know eachother even better, because we weren't always around eachother and we didn't take any of the time we spent together for granted. And you know- that carried through into our marriage and into us living together- when we are in eachother's company, we always treasure it.

We have been living together 5yrs. and a few days. The two of us were friends for about 1 1/2 yrs before. It's really the best way to learn about each other.

I feel the exact same way. Plus, my dad would have a heart attack if we lived together before marriage and I have way too much respect to do that to him. I like the idea of starting our lives together in a new and exciting way. We also have no debt bc we both saved by living at home, and now have a house waiting for us to move into on our wedding night!

We live together. We've been together for 3 years but have lived together for 2 years. I'm glad we did this before we got married b/c it was kind of hard to get used to in the beginning with our habits and everything. So glad that part is all taken care of.

I'm with ThreeTwenty and Sassy. Though he would love for me to move in to 'our house' which he already purchased, and I just can't wait to live with him, we have decided to wait. We don't want to come home from our HM to the same old routine. We want it to really feel like a new step in our lives together. Also, and this is probably silly of me to believe in such a thing, but I've read so many times that divorce rates are higher for cohabitating couples. My theory is that while you're living with someone without the marriage commitment, there's this feeling that 'I can always get out' that may carry over to the marriage. It would also be a huge dissappointment to my family.... so basically I can't WAIT to get married so I can live with my hunni!

Its very hard at first to get use to each other ..

FH stayed at my apartment twice a week from our first date on...then it turned into 5/6 days a week (after a few months)...after a year of 'almost living together' we moved into our own apartment and have been cohabitating for about 5 1/2 years. Wouldn't change a thing.
