Just curious how many of you live with FH. When we started pre-cana we swore we wouldn't say we were living together, turns out the other two couples in our group also live together and made no effort to hide it, so why should we?

I lived with my DH before we got married for a little over a year.....it was great because we got know all of our habits, etc...
but when we got home from our HM I was thinking, wow it must be so exciting if you DON'T live together before marriage....
but now it does feel more 'solid'.

We moved in together as soon as we got engaged. I would not have done it any other way. Well maybe I would have had us move into a new apt together instead of staying at FI bachelor pad.
We never tried to keep the fact that we live together secret, but we certainly did not try to advertise it either.

FH and I moved in together on our 6 month anniversary. We probably wouldn't have done it were it not for finances, but we wouldn't have it any other way. There are definitely times when I wonder if we wouldn't feel so much like an old married couple already if we hadn't been living together for more than 3 years, but then again, we've also been through a lot of the crap that comes with adjusting to one another before we get married. We were able to determine whether we wanted to commit ourselves to marriage knowing each other's faults and shortcomings, ideologies and values, without worrying about what surprises we would be in store for after marriage. We went through a lot and dealt with a lot of major issues with each other during the first 2 years of our relationship that probably would have made us greatly question our decision to get married if we waited until after the wedding to live together.

We live together now. FH just moved in last month and we're getting married next May. So far so good. It was the only way to save the most money for our wedding.

My fiance and I met in college and he got a job in Stamford, which kind of made it a lot easier to say that we were going to live together... and we've been living together for about 4 months I'm just loving it!!!

We live together since we got engaged about a year ago. I think it was the best decision, being that you get to know each other at a whole different level before getting married.
