I tried on like 20 dresses @ Davids Bridal in Carle Place Didnt like any of them. Went the following week 'just to look' and I tried on 2 that day, the 2nd one my MOH was crying so I bought that one. I just knew.

I went to 4 or 5 places and tried on about 10 dresses each. It was exhausting but worth the effort.

i tried several on but it was more like i felt obligated to try them on. it wasn't really liking hte dresses i tried on that much at all but moreso due to feeling bad and disappointed with the selection. think i was being a lil dramatic. i expected the experience to WEEEEEEEEEE YAY and all that sugar! i decided to go to one last sample sale and call it a day, so to speak. still finding naddah and when i was just about ready to leave i turned around and there it is! it took about those several not so up to par gowns for me to find THE wedding dress! i was so happy!

I tried on 2 the week we got engaged just for fun, so they don't really count.
Then when I was seriously looking I tried the 1st one on and fell in love with it. But I wanted to shop around some more to make sure and see if I could get it for a better price. Nothing compared to 'the one' so I went somewhere else where they ordered it for me at a discounted price. Can't wait for it to come in now!!

I went to 5 bridal shops and tried on over 50.. And I'm still not 100% happy with my choice

about 50. I started to lose my mind. I kept thinking that there was 'something else' out there, and I know I missed buying a few that could have been 'the one.' in the end, I ended up just getting one I liked, looked good on, and was the right price. For me, there was no 'Oh my god! This is it!' moment.
I would suggest keeping it under 20. They start to all blend together after that anyway...

I went to RK Bridal on my lunch hour with a co-worker just to look and ended up trying on a few. I loved the 5th one i tried on - it was so 'me'!! Of course, my mom wanted to be a part of the whole experience so i brought her back there and had to try on about 15 more dresses so she could see them all on me but I kept going back to that original dress. It was good to see others to know how they compared to the one i liked, but honestly its up to you on what you do. Some people find one right away, sometimes it takes a ton of dresses before you find one.

i tried on a lot of dresses and the 1st time i went shopping my dress was the 2nd dress i tried on ..
and every other store i went to i tried my dress on and knew it was THE ONE

Wow, there are more people in the 'Ugh! Too many to count!' category than I thought there would be. When we bought my engagement ring, I looked at A LOT, but ended up buying the very first setting I tried on. But anytime I have to buy a formal dress, it takes malls upon malls, and shopping trip after shopping trip before I find the right one. Hopefully since this is not off the rack, it will be easier. You don't have to worry about what size they have in stock.

I was limited to the amount of dresses I COULD try on because of my tattoo between my shoulder blades that needed to be covered. The store only showed me about 5 or 6 that met my requirements - thats all they had as so many are strapless or low backed. The one I chose was the last one I tried on and I knew it was the one.

I saw a dress I liked online and went searching for it in the stores. I went to the wedding center tried on the dress and about 5 others. Didn't like any of them. On the way home I stopped at the Bridal Suite in Huntington and tried on about 5 more and picked out the one I originally liked online. it looked so much better on me in the bridal suite than at the wedding center...don't know why. So about 10 all together.
