Too much- if you can't afford it Average on LI: $35,000 Ours: $18,000, plus HM (Our place was awesome though, a few guests tried giving us more money because they said we went crazy and spent too much. We knew where to save.)

1. Ditto about not being able to afford 2. All depends on the size of your guest list! 3. With 44 days to go, we're still under $20K. Mostly because our guest list was always under 100.
After 7 years with my FH, 5 of them living together, and not being religious, the wedding is like a big party to us to celebrate our committment.
So we're keeping it fairly simple We're not complex people to begin with or overly concerned about appearances or glam so we're concentrating on just having a good time that we and our guests will remember fondly.
