I am going for my trial tomorrow and really wanted to do my hair straight for the wedding. However I NEVER do my hair straight and everyone is voting for me to do it curly for the wedding! I just cant picture it curly for the wedding because it is not glamorous!
Every prom and wedding I have been in, I get it straight. What do you think?
PS - During the last wedding I was in....the Bride's family kept asking where is your curly haired friend that was at the shower? I was there but they did not recognize me. Often times people walk right by me/don't recognize me.
PS - I do not want to pay for more than one trial I am on a budget
PSS - Mom wants to see it curly along with 99% of my friends!
PSSS - me and FH like straight!

I voted for straight! I have naturally curly hair too, but straighten it everyday because I hate it, I look soooo much younger!

Do what makes you and FH happy. I think the straight hair looks beautiful, and you have more ways to style it than if it's curly....

Well you do have beautiful curly hair but in the picture you have in your dress you have straight hair and I think it goes with the looks of the dress!

I totally am in the same boat! I voted curly since your hair is gorgeous and you want to look like yourself on your wedding day. However, in the end it's up to you.
I have long straight hair, and I usually wear it down. I don't really like the way I look with my hair all up. My mom talked me into wearing it all up for prom, and while it was nice and stayed I look at my prom pictures and don't think I look like myself.
I'm getting married in August, I know it will be hot, and I don't care what anyone says -- I am not wearing my hair all up (either down with parts pinned up or half up). However, I'm not sure if I want to wear it with curls or straight. I'm afraid if I leave it straight it will look too similar to my everyday hair, but I still want to look like myself.
I'll probably do a trial and see how curly looks and if it stays, and then decide. I've been growing my hair out since the summer so I have enough length for curls...

I think that if you want to try a style do it, if you think people want to see it curly try a curly style, THEN once you have done your trial ask the person if you decided to do it straight the day of would it be a problem.
Personally, I like the way your hair is in your fitting picture, but that is also b/c your hair is down in the first pic.

My hair is sooo kinky and I cannot picture it up and curly but my hairdresser said she can flatten the curls.
FH said go for a straight trial and if I love it...than that is it! If I am unsure then I will just have to go back.
Also....I always wear mine curly...every single day...i straighten it like once a year (I just dont have patience to do it straight). But yes it does make me look young! People often think I am like 21!

i think straight is so classic and elegant but the important thing is it's what you and FH like. when you imagine your wedding, what does your hair look like?
and you dont have to worry about people not recognizing you, you are the bride!!

I think its horrible how many curly girls spend hours straightening their hair. I'm sorry, don't mean to offend anyone who does that. Straight hair is beautiful, but so is curly hair! I think your hair is beautiful curly, it also looks beautiful straight, we really can't tell you what to do -- you have to do what makes you and FH happy. Sorry I ranted a bit on your thread -- I just hate how curly hair has become something that people try to hide -- if you have it, its part of who you are! And so many girls with straight hair try so hard to make their hair curl on their wedding day. You will look beautiful either way. Sorry that wasn't too helpful! I voted curly.

No I am not offended at all! If I do straighten I know so many people will say why????
I just am picturing a 1920s look with a rose in my hair and glammed! My stylist is very creative so I know she will have good ideas! I will let her run with it tomorrow and will post more pictures after the trial!!!!!!!!

i voted for straight bc you called it the 'glamorous look,' which sounds like that's what you want. i think a wedding is a good excuse to blow off other people's expectations and treat yourself, so if YOU like the idea of going straight, then def do it! if you're more comfy in curls, then it'll be just as beautiful.
btw, i'm one of those straight-haired girls who spends 20 minutes in curlers when i really want to look my best.

I voted Straight. I'm kind of in the same boat as you, except I straight style mine a little more than you, but certainly not all the time. I think sometimes people who don't have curly hair are so impressed by it and don't realize how people do have it sometimes hate it in fancy situations....I alway say with my curls, I can never be sure how it will look--it has a mind of its own!!
I am doing straight b/c that's what I want, and FH won't tell me (he wants me to do what I want) but I think he likes it better like that....so does my dad, actually haha....so the decision is made! It sounds like you're kind of in the same boat, and your dress is so sleek I think straight goes better!!
