POLL! How soon after the Wedding are you going on your HONEYMOON?

I was just curious, because FH doesnt want to leave right away. We are going away March 2008 for a 12 night cruise. and think going away for another 2 weeks in june may be overkill.

So i was thinking pushing our honeymoon to september or october.
It will still be nice weather in France, wich is where
I want to really go.

We are going to leave that monday or tuesday. We are getting marrie don sunday.

well we were gonna leave 5 days after the wedding on a thursday bc we had planned on doing vegas and tahiti and wanted to be in vegas for the weekend but now that we changed our honeymoon for europe i think we'll leave even sooner, guess gotta see when flights go out

we're leaving two weeks after our wedding and going on a cruise too, which is why we have to wait the two weeks cause that's when the ship departs.

we are most likely building a house in NC so with moving RIGHT after the wedding, a honeymoon will prob have to wait ... we are thinking of taking the honeymoon in the summer of 09 about 9 months after the wedding

we will spend our honeymoon right after the wedding in our brand new home, together and ALONE

With us getting married during the holiday season, and that being the busiest time for restaurants and FH, we will be taking our HM in January, which is 1 month or so after the wedding.

Im getting married the 1st of June. FH is a teacher so he finishes teaching at the end of June, so I have to wait till then. I doing Europe and I usually go there around July anyways, so I know the weather is nice then

This is what is annoying me, I know the weather is the best in June/July as far as south of france and paris.
August the whole place shuts down, so that month is out.

If i cancel my cruise march 16th 08 I think i am going to regret it. We both really want to go, its a reunion cruise from our cruise march of 06. So alot of the same people are going. It will be alot of fun!!!
It just seems a little nuts to take off 2 vacations so close together. I would like to spread it out a bit.

FH wants to do the wine country and Alaska cruise too! Its so different from the vacations we usually go on. Too bad I get so seasick :( No cruises for me!

But I think we are planning on waiting a few months before we go on our honeymoon. I don't know whether I will still be in school at that point or not (stupid program doesn't have a set ending point!). Im assuming I will, so we will probably wait until Im done and take it then.

i'm looking to book our honeymoon departure 1-2 days after the wedding...getting married on a friday, so i figure leaving sunday/monday would be good-i can wrap loose ends up on saturday

Are you going on a cruise to the Meditarranean/Europe? if so Europe is also very nice in March. I dont think you can go swimming but its not freezing cold either

i'm not sure if we'll be leaving the following tuesday or the tuesday after that.
Tuesday is usually the cheapest time to travel and April is still 'off season' in a lot of places so we'd want to go 'soonish' but we're not sure.

we might go some place closer right after the wedding and then wait till we have enough money saved for our 'dream' honeymoon. but we'll see
