We're teachers, and getting married on Memorial Day is doable... but taking a honeymoon right away was not. so we're waiting the 3-4 weeks until school is over to go.

we were thinking of doing an Alaskan cruise, so we wouldn't be able to take our honeymoon until the following August or September - at least it gives us time to save more money, but I still want to do something relaxing right after the wedding.

We are getting married on friday so we will most likely leave on sunday!

I am getting married in Sept. and since I am a teacher I have to wait a little while. I am not sure when we are going. We are doing a Sandals resort somewhere in either Dec. or Feb. break and then going to Italy for a month next summer. His family is all there.

I'm not sure FH is picking & planning our honeymoon, as of now we plan on Leaving Monday June 9th,

top 3 choices:

Sandals Whithouse (Jamica)
Northern Europe Cruise
California Wine Country & Alaska Cruise

Any date twins interested in same honeymoons?

My date twin at work is going to Sandals St. Lucia, so I'm curious to see if anyone is interested in similar honemoons

FH wants to do the wine country and Alaska cruise too! Its so different from the vacations we usually go on. Too bad I get so seasick :( No cruises for me!

But I think we are planning on waiting a few months before we go on our honeymoon. I don't know whether I will still be in school at that point or not (stupid program doesn't have a set ending point!). Im assuming I will, so we will probably wait until Im done and take it then.

and that was the one I thought was unique , lol... I have no clue where I really want to go.. Costa Rica was up there but June is the 'green season' aka when it rains alot.

FH wants to go immeditly afterwards,that's all I know, but at least when it comes time to pack I'll know what type of climate we're going too... He through out sking in S.America, in to the mix a while ago, I'm glad I havn't heard anything about it again

were getting married on the 7th and leaving for our honeymoon on the 14th. So, exactly a week after our wedding!

Its kind of a long and confusing story, but I'll try to make it short. We were orignally going to get married on a cruise ship in Puerto Rico and have an informal party/reception when we got back home. Booked everything, and then FH's family started flipping out b/c ppl were getting left out of the ceremony if they couldnt go on the cruise.

Soooooo to avoid all the conflict, we just decided to do the traditional wedding thing on the same day as the party/reception (which was already booked so we couldnt change the date). So we added a church ceremony before our party, and upgraded the party to a full wedding reception, but the cruise was already booked for before that date.

Sooooooo, we're having a full 'symbolic' wedding ceremony on the ship in Puerto Rico (friends and family are still coming w/us on the cruise, which I'm soooo excited about!), which we've now started calling our 'pregame ceremony', cruising around the southern caribbean for a week, and then coming home to LI and 'really' getting married two weeks later.

Confusing enough for you girls?? Instead of a relax after the wedding honeymoon, we're having a not-so-traditional, relax in PREPARATION for the wedding honeymoon, haha!

We are getting married in April and taking our honeymoond the first week in July because I work in the schools.

I am voting right away but it may get delayed if we don't have the cash for it or we want to do something more then 5 days. Both of us can't take off more then a week and our wedding is on a sunday night so we can't leave till monday the earliest.

we will be leaving the Mon after our wedding....we wanted a day to catch up before we left AND it is a good time for both of us the get approved time off!
