your MOH (not a relative) couldn't come to your engagement party?

if you already booked the place then i wouldnt reschedule.. i mean, thats sad but you BOOKED the place already!!

the most important thing is that she is present at your wedding!!

what would be the excuse of the MOH not coming?

I would be upset, there are certain situations i would be understanding of, family emergencies, or who knows what but if its not for a good reason then i'd be upset

I'd be sad but if I already booked I would just go with it.. also tell her she needs to make it up to me.

i put i wouldnt change it. unfortunetly you can't gaurentee everyone is going to be available I mean even if it is your MOH. I just think of all the time in effort that goes into even picking a place and a date, because you and FH have lives and your parents have lives, you ahve so many things to think about when scheduling a date for a party like this... there are always conflicts and esp now that the weather is getting warmer. there are weddings, showers, birthdays, communions.

basically if it doesnt upset you that much, just leave it.

It's actually my FHs best man who wouldn't be able to come... I figure you guys could care less if the best man couldn't be there.. JK...

We've just been trying so hard to have an eparty, we FINALLY set a date, picked the place, etc..

We find out the BM is a GM in another wedding that day. So FH wants me to reschedule, the only other Sat nights at the hall are days that family wouldn't be able to come!

FH is just so effing thick! So now we're probably not having one and we're super pissed at one another and all I can think about is it's all because the best man can't fukking come. Now, I LOVE the best man, but it's just our eparty for crying out loud..

I just want to make sure I'm not being the irrational one.

Oh I totally agree with you. Try not to fight about it but I agree that you should not reschedule or even cancel for that matter

he is not thinking... did you explain to him that you would be reallyupset not to have an eparty, you have been looking foward to it for a long time and it was finally happening?

what is with men not seeing how silly there thinking is sometimes haha.. and they talk about us!

Yeah, I'd be annoyed. But you can either keep the date and do it w/o him or not have aneparty at all and wish you did.

I'd throw the party and save the best man some leftovers.
