Intermezzo, Pasta is too filling, IMO. Also, if you're having it Cocktail Hour, the Intermezzo is a nice break.

Our pasta dish is Penne ala Vodka... so we're having that instead of the Intermezzo... I love Penne ala Vodka!!!

i love pasta! but being the CH is having that i think something cold and refreshing would be a nice treat! so i say intermezzo!!

I agree...

FH is Italian and his grandmother would flip out if we didn't have pasta, but I think it's way too filling (and judging from the fact that no one eats the turkey at her house on thanksgiving after we have lasagna, I would think she would agree). We compromised and are having pasta at the CH, and intermezzo for the dinner...I want everyone to actually eat their entree!

I would do the intermezzo. pasta is so filling and usually gives me 'food coma'. besides, most CH's have at least 1 kind of pasta dish. so it would be redundant.

pasta, just b/c you are italian. even though you may be having pasta during your CH, italians like to have pasta with their meal.

If you're Italian, go with Pasta.

I had the same dilemma because they were also offering it during the CH, so I told them to take it out of the CH and just serve it as part of dinner. I can't imagine my Italian dinners without it!
