I'm wondering how many of you are inviting kids at the wedding.
If we knew a lot of people with kids, we would probably not invite any kids. I just hate hearing babies cry during the ceremony. However, we only have two kids on the invite list and they're both well behaved (they'll be 6 and 2) and have amazing parents who would whisk them away at the first sign of fussing. So we are inviting all the kids we know--luckily we only know 2!

Only the ones in the bridal party... that's it! I always say to FH, my reception is not a playground!

Re: Poll: Inviting kids to the wedding
I am only inviting my first cousins who are younger. No other kids will be invited. I am the oldest of 14 grandkids. The youngest is 5 ....Oh yeah and my nephew who is 4 is the ring bearer...

Re: Poll: Inviting kids to the wedding
I didn't know how to answer your poll. We are kind of inviting kids -- my first cousins will be 15, 17 (Bridesmaid), 17, 20... and then one will be 8 (but is very mature).
I don't really consider them 'kids' and we aren't inviting any other kids, so I voted no. I guess technically we are though
We are lucky that none of our friends have kids, and there's no other close family with young kids who would expect to be invited. We have some far extended family with kids, but I don't think they are expecting to bring their kids....

Re: Poll: Inviting kids to the wedding
We are having very few children at our wedding.
FH has 3 first cousins who are still kids that have been at his other cousins weddings, so we are kind of obligated to have them at ours.
Aside from that, my niece and nephew in the wedding party and my first cousin who is 12, but is fairly mature and is a very close relative.

Only the ones in the wedding. I dont really like children, and I feel like when there are too many of them they take over the dance floor, and adults are less likely to get out there.

We are only inviting family with children.. However I have already informed the matridee ( probably not spelled correctly). that if a child cries during the ceremony they need to be escorted out..

Sure why not! Kids are cute, usually take good pics and probably will always be dancing to the fun music.....

I agree completely. FH loves kids (he's in peds) so initially he wanted to invite every child. He then rethought it and begged me not to let kids in (probably had a brat at work!). We're really lucky that we only have two well behaved kids invited.

Re: Poll: Inviting kids to the wedding
We know a ton of people with kids, we did a 12 and older policy, otherwise there would have been a ton of kids there!!
Acyually I doubt most people would have brought their kids. Most adults want to enjoy themselves, so they get a sitter. I even invited my friends mother so she would watch her kids.

Re: Poll: Inviting kids to the wedding
we invited anyone from out of state with their children...and of course - the BP children.
I think the kids were the most fun part of the wedding...we had a kids' table (which had many fewer than it should've, because someone with 3 kids didn't show).....but Dave's godson made me a necklace, the kids had a blast with glow sticks...it was fantastic!

Re: Poll: Inviting kids to the wedding
We are inviting to of FH's cousins that are 11 & 15. They are both playing a small role in the wedding. My 2 1/2 year old cousin (the ring bearer), but no other kids are invited.
