Poll: Is this too much to ask.....

Poll: Is this too much to ask.....

I am going to Atlantic City and staying at the Borgata. There are 12-13 of us and we are bunking up in a two big suites which is costing everyone $120/per person.

I also want to get a table at the club and am willing to kick in $200-300....then everyone will have to pay about $50/per person. I really want to go all out and just do it right and be VIP! I dont think this is too bad because cover is normally $20...we wont have to pay that and we cut the line.

Also...we are not doing anythig fancy for dinner...just ordering in and partying in the room!

Overall I have been to some bachelorette parties that lasted 3 days and some that costed me $250. They were all so fun and I never regretted spending the money or time...but not everyone is like me so I need to be pracitcal here! Pleae vote and let me know your thoughts and how much your girls are spending!

I voted No, because a trip by themselves to Atlantic City can cost them even more than that, if they are willing to go for it then I don't think it's a problem

I think most are ok with it, but guess I just wanted some outside opinions to see if I am being selfish and irrational!

No feelings will be hurt here!

I know 2 girls that had their entire bridal party go to the Bahamas and Vegas. It cost alot more then $250. If certain girls have issues with spending money on the table then just let them pay the cover and don't include them on the table charge. If you are going to mur mur nobody ever stays at the tables anyway.

I think its fine, as long as you're sure your girls can handle the cost.

I think it depends on your bridal party.

Two of my girls were mommies with another one on the way. Going away for a weekend would have been a hardship for them, and spending that kind of money also would have been a lot to ask.

People are already spending a ton of money to be part of your wedding, I personally think these weekend long bachelor/bachelorette parties are a little demanding.

Whats wrong with a nice night out?

Most of my friends are single/not married. I only have 3 bridesmaids (2 sisters and one friend)....the rest are friends and off the hook!

I think a nice night out is fine too! I just feel like I want to go out and party like I ever had before!

it all depends on your girls. for mine, that would have been too much. as it was, many of my BM missed mine b/c they weren't able to come to DC for my shower.

I would discuss it with your girls. Be open with them and make the planning part of the fun!

I don't think it's too much to ask..but you'll have to understand if some girls say it's too much. Try to include them as much as possible. My cousin's BP is this month and it's in Philly, dinner, limos, bars/clubs...with the wedding, I just can't afford it. I feel bad, but that's the way it is. Just be understanding..

i dont think my girls could afford it... they are all in school and don't have much money.

FH is going to vegas for his though, which will cost more than that... his friends all have jobs, most of them very well-paying jobs

I dont think its too much and this is why-a Bachelorette party if you went to the city for a night with limo and cover, etc. would be about that if not more....I definitely dont think its too much at all.

You know your guests best, so I think being candid about the costs, and being understanding and flexible about what they can afford would be the best way to go. Although I suggest avoiding the 'I thought it was going to be $120, but some people dropped out so now you have to pay $200' situation.
