POLL: is/was your shower a surprise . . .

I was hesitant to post this (since one of my BMs is a poster here). . . but I have to vent!

I LOVE surprises and I was really looking forward to my shower, but it is no longer even close to a secret -- my Mom has discussed the date with me more than once and my MOH keeps talking about her travel plans (she lives OOT)!

I keep telling them that I don't want to know!!! But I guess I just have to accept it.

Am I alone here? Do/did most of you guys want to know when your shower is/was?

And if you do know, do you just pretend to be surprised???

My mom didn't want the stress of keeping it a secret from me (and knew that I would find out anyway) Sometimes I wish I didn't know about it - but it was nice to be included on some of the things beforehand.

I really couldn't be surprised since I am flying in from LA to be there. But I am glad- I hate surprises and always find them out anyway. I have never been truly surprised by any event.

i'm having two--- since i'm in chicago, i had to know about the one my mom and sister are throwing me in new york. that one is in july.

i'm not supposed to know about the one in august, which my aunts are throwing me here in chicago. fh slipped one night. it's nice to know they're throwing me one here, since most of my friends are here, but yeah, it would've been nice to not know anything about it.

Just for the record - I'm a bridesmaid in samnjenna's wedding and I DID NOT give her any info regarding the shower!

Tell your MOH to hush up!
