How many live with FH before married?

The reason I ask is that I got a new job and have to move and am looking for an apartment. Right now, both my FH and I live at home. I have no problem with people living together before their married...but my parents do, and would be PISSED if we moved in together. However, it seems to make sense, that way we could save a lot of money...I understant what my parents are saying, but I am 26 years old and think I am old enough to make my own decisions, but I want to repect my parents too....Ughhh, sorry for the vent...

I moved in w/ FH 3 months ago and it's great! I am a big believer in living together before getting married. I didn't want any surprises!

We own a house together, but I only live there. He will move in after we're married.

We live together. It's not for everyone this living situation. But to me personally it helps get a person prepared for what married life is like. You learn the living habits of a person when you live with them. Some people are shocked when they learn their signifigant other has nasty or bothering habits. Then they feel like they don't know the person. But that is just my opinion.

we've been living together for about 6 months and engaged for almost 2 months. my parents (esp my dad) were NOT happy at all. they think he's great, but are pretty old-fashioned, so it didn't go over too well. dad didn't talk to me for 3 mos. oh well. but he's over it now and they are glad we're getting married.

FH and I have been living together for a year and half...we moved in together because my parents moved out of state and i didnt want to move so i needed help with rent and expenses...

my parents are definitely old fashioned but they love him very much. I didnt want to upset them but they understood the situation I was in anywayz

but if my parents still lived in Long Island I would stay at home and save as much money as I could

We're waiting.... both living at home until after the wedding. Maybe I am too traditional, but I don't want to move in with him until AFTER the wedding. I feel like living together should be one of the new experiences you get to have together as newlyweds.

my parents would be heartbroken if we moved in together -

FH has wanted to for a long time, but for me i just dont believe in it ( and not just because of my parents either!)
