Do you think everyone would think I was totally obsessed with myself if I planned a luncheon for my bridesmaids about 6 months prior to my wedding?
I am planning my NY wedding from FL, and it's really hard, so if I could just talk about some stuff and details with them all together JUST ONCE before my wedding, it would really help.
OF COURSE I would pay for the lunch!

I am actually doing the same thing but after the holidays...I want all the BM's to know each other & be comfortable with each other so no one feels awkward...FH & I are doing a BBQ in the summer with the entire BP so everyone will know each other prior to the big day

I think its a great idea regardless of when it is. I'm hoping to get together with my girls at some point. I think they would all really enjoy it too!

I did the same thing-- I had everyone over for brunch about a month or so after I asked everyone to be in the wedding party- I say got for it.

If you can organize that I'd say do it! I don't think I could get everyone together for it. But it sounds like such a nice idea.

I think a GTG is great. I am having an official meet the family party this summer at my FH parents house, approximately 1 year before our wedding. We decided to invite our entire bridal party as well so everyone can meet before the wedding.

i think i bridesmaid get together is a great idea especially before the wedding so they all get to know each other if they dont already and there comfortable the day of. i tried to get my bridal party together as much as possible so they became friends and we all still get together. i had a lunch a few weeks before my wedding and i cooked and handed out there gifts and we had a blast. i bought the victorian charms and put them in the cake i had made and they each pulled a string and found out what charm they pulled meant something and there was a card for every charm explaining what the charm meant and a little keepsake bag to put them in

I think its a great idea...if youcan get everyone together...I would want to meet up with everyone just to make sure everything was clear with them and that there aren't any problems...esp if I live out of state

I think it is a lovely idea. I had planned on doing something small at my place until the wedding got rushed up. I was planning on having a luncheon and giving them their BP gifts that day. They ended up getting them last week at my shower

I think it's a wonderful idea. It really makes for a more comfortable atmosphere if the girls get to know each other before the day of the wedding. Even better b/c with planning a bachelorette party it's hard when no one knows each other, so this may help break the ice before your shower, and Bach. party.
