to answer my post i am in agony. it was never bad until the past 4-5 years
now i will take pills before i got to bed and wkae up in the middle of the night when they wear off- its so horrible

i was wondering who else is in my position

I started the pill when I was 13 yrs old because of how bad my periods got....I was in sooooo much pain as a teenager...it ruined me for like 6 days a month, so the dr. put me on the pill and I've been on it ever since solely for cramps, etc. ...it has helped a lot.

me too. The gyno said there is nothing i can do cause it has to do with an 'alignment problem' with my internal organs (i.e. I'm crooked!)

It s-ucks though!

I just went back on birth control pills because I was in so much pain. The cramps were horrible.

I'm very blessed that mine is ultra short and not too bad with the cramps. The only thing is I get headaches which can be a nightmare at work.

I started to take birth control at the age of 18 bc Aunt Flo had gotten so bad...I would be in so much pain & the monthly flow was just uncontrollable. I use to have to sleep with towels in the bed to prevent any overflow...Plus it lasted 8-9 days!!!

Ever since the pill, it has been a blessing..Now I barely get cramps & it only last 4 days!!!

Mine used to be horrible... 8 days long w/ terrible back pain all 8 days! But when I went on the pill 5 years ago it all stopped. It's my miracle drug!!!!!!!! I'm just worried now once I have to go off it.

Now it lasts 4 days at the MOST and cramps for maybe 1 hr on the first day... that's it!

5 days -serious pain and I have endometriosis...ahhhh good times. I am pretty much in pain all the time.

I'm in the same boat, but I just started seasonale so that helps dramatically! 4 times a year baby!!!!!!

IF you can believe, the Pill made mine much worse.
I usually end up taking 800mg motrin and it relieves it, but not completely.

I lied a little, it doesn't last 7+ days for me anymore, but it used to! It's more painful for me (back and lower abdomen), and more emotional!

It depends - most months it hardly affects me but once in a while, I can't do anything because the pain from my cramps just spreads down my legs. It's awful.

Not to brag but I can honestly say that mine last 4 days.. mild cramping.. BUT I go get PMS, and horrible headaches.

me...it's been like this since it started (13) and though everyone said it would get better....
