i told him what company to get the setting from (verragio), what metal & shape of diamond. he did the rest.

I hinted at which one I wanted enough. I am so happy he bought me the exact one.

we always play a game with jewlry catalogs called 'which one do we like best'.

I kept telling him that I wanted a round brilliant solitaire and a diamond eternity band. He actually designed something similiar but with a circle of pave diamonds around the center diamond. I like it because it is a combination of both our tastes.

I picked out three settings that I wanted to try on and then FH and I went shopping together. I wanted a vintage style setting b/c the diamond in my ering belonged to my greatgrandmother.

Everytime we passed a jeweler he'd ask me what I liked...so when it came time, he hit the nail right on the head! I love my ring!

I was just as much surprised about the proposal as I was that he knew I would want a princess cut ering - i think he figured it out bc i wanted princess cut earrings - and he wanted to make it all match

FH and I went to the family jeweler and picked out the diamond the setting to the sidestones together. FH wanted to make sure I would get something that I loved.

We actually were in the store to buy earrings and both looked at my ring and loved it . . . . so we both picked it out. That put everything into motion!!

i didn't even know we were getting engaged so he picked it out himself. actually, he had to buy it online when he decided he wanted to propose. i was recovering from foot surgery and couldn't walk. he was stuck at home taking care of me and couldn't leave to buy the ring.

FH and I talked about marriage so ocassionally we'd look at rings online. I told him I liked round stones and a solitaire would be nice but I also pointed out a few other nice ones. But he did his research about diamonds and went to all the jewelers by himself and I had no idea he bought my ring until the night he proposed. I think he did a great job. I answered that he picked it out all by himself.
