He told me he had met with the jeweler but he was telling me how he was still trying to decide between diamonds and stuff and still designing the ring so I thought the proposal was going to be a few months later than it actually was. He was a very good liar about that stuff.

we always talked about 'when we get married' but right before the proposal he was really educating himself on diamonds so i thought maybe he was condidering it... and then a week before he proposed to me he went up to a woman on a train and said wow thats a pretty ring what shape is that ? hahhahahhhaahah I def thought to myself mayeb in teh nexy year but it was the following week

We were talkign about it & FH asked my parents about 3 months before we actually got engaged then my friends husband is in precious stones & gems & we went to purchase my centerstone together but i had no idea abotu anythign else or when he would actually ask!

I KNEW HE HAD THE RING BECAUSE HE BOUGHT IT IN ARIZONA AND WE GOT STOPPED GOING THROUGH SECURITY THE GUY PULLED IT OUT OF HIS BAG!! I CRIED THEN WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED UNTILL HE FINALLY ASKED ME A MONTH LATER

Pat and I went to his jeweler Columbus Day and I picked out my diamond, setting and side stones. I then walked away because they were talking. The whole time Pat kept saying he couldn't afford it and I was probably getting it in 2008. Well, he lied and surprised me in Myrtle Beach which I had NO idea but knew it would be sooner or later. My proposal picture is in my album- my face is priceless.

we talked about it and i knew he was looking - but thats all i knew - so i knew it was coming but didnt expect it to happen when it did - he told me on NYE that we would get engaged in 2008 but i thought more towards the end of the year - so he totally shocked me.....we are actually engaged 1 year today!

We had been talking about rings since the first Christmas we were together! But last summer we were talking about rings and looking at diamonds and he sent me an email showing me rings that he liked and asked if I liked them. So I told him I wanted a solitaire and that was it nothing on the band or bagettes or anything. So a year rolls around but he's still talking about getting married. He asked me one day how I would like to get a trailer for when we go quadding and I told him how about we get married and that was in January LOL . So that's when he got more serious and down to business about the ring. We went to the mall and the flea market to look at rings. So in March on the day of the Rocky Point St. Patty's Day parade I was at a baby shower and I told him that would be a good time to talk to my parents. I didn't think he was gonna go but I gave my parents the heads up. I talked to my mom after the shower and she said he stopped by and asked their permission. Long story short, he proposed and I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA!
