I want my bridal party to wear a dress with a little sash in the back. The thing is, I had wanted to have my 2 MOHs wear a dress that was a little different.
The dresses I like are the same color, and both have a sash in the back, but the MOH dress's sash is a little thicker. They are made by the same designer and are available in the same color.
HOWEVER, one is chiffon (MOH) and one is that satin fabric (whatever that typical BM dress fabric is called, I'm not sure).
I'm not sure if having two different materials will look somewhat off. What do you think? You think it would look ok since they are the same color and the same general style? Or do you think I should just keep them simple and have them all in the same dress? THANKS SO MUCH!

I'm opposite. As long as is the same style and general color, I say go a little different. Why should our girls look like clones? Individuality is nice and they will look 'uniform' anyway since it's the same dress.

I think it's a great idea to mix fabric...as long as the colors are similar.

im a weirdo with the matching so i say keep it all the same- sometimes even though the fabric is dyed the same color- the dresses may look different if they are in different materials. jmho

I matched, but think that it looks nice when you have the same exact color and different dresses- but I've only seen this with the same fabric

I'm anal so I had to have everyone match BUT I was in my cousin's wedding and she had only one rule when it came to dresses. It had to blend (i.e., not clash) with Watters and Watters celedon. What ended up happening was everyone chose a different style, material, and even designer but all the dresses looked great together. I looked like paint strip of sorts. So, I think that having the different materials would look just great!

The color would only be similar....different material=different color, even within the same designer. I have been struggling with this same problem

I already voted- but my friend had her maid and matron in a slighly different color and fabric and it looked great-- I am going to try to find a pic for you..
But, I think you can go with the different fabric- it will look great.. who says it all has to match perfectly anyway?!
