im going to change my name to FH's last name. Problem is I am not in love with his last name. Should I put my maiden name as my middle name or should I keep my middle name and exclude my maiden name?
Its so sad that I am doing a poll on this but I cannot decide!!! Please dont quote, im going to take it down afterwards!!

I have heard (I am not 100% sure) that you can no longer use your maiden name as your middle name like you used to.......
If you are allowed to use your maiden name as your middle, I would still exclude it! I like your name with your middle name and your FH's last name!!!!

the only benefit to keeping my maiden name would be that people will still recognize who i am. like when i call them and stuff ya know?

I remember reading it on here and hearing it from someone else that you can't use your maiden name as a middle name regardless, even if you wanted to! I would look into it!

this is from city clerk's office- i cant quite comprehend it tho
Option 1: the surname of either spouse; or Option 2: any former surname of either spouse; or Option 3: a name combining into a single surname, all or a segment of, the premarriage surname, or any former surname, of each spouse; or Option 4: a combination surname separated by a hyphen, provided that each part of such combination surname is the premarriage surname, or any former surname, of each of the spouses.

this is true. if you want to use your maiden name still, it needs to be hyphenated

i like your middle but if not, is including your middle and then hyphenating your maiden and married last name not an option? i know its long but hardly anyone ever uses the middle anyway
