How much did you spend on your parent's gifts (per side)?
I have no idea what is the norm.

well. we were going to get them gifts and then somehow I slipped it to my mom and she freaked out and told her we better not get them any gifts, we are spending enough on the wedding already. so they are getting parent albums which I guess will be their gifts. I think we might do something special for my parents after the wedding since they really helped out a lot.

Yeah I know my mom would say the same think. I kind of wanted to give them a mini-trip, but they are all so $$$$. Hmph.

i bought my mom diamond earrings- i bought my dad a watch- my moms earrings were expensive but she worked so hard and deserved them... my dads watch was not as much as my moms earrings but my dad is not into material items an if i bought him an expensive watch he would be so mad at me..
fh took care of his parents- i beleive he is sending them into the city ofr a night and to a show but its his thing to take care of

For my parents, they're getting a parents album, plus this frame with a baby photo of me taking my first steps and then I'll provide a 5x7 of their choice from the wedding day to be selected. Plus, we were thinking of a gift certificate to a restaurant down here or tickets to a play in Manhattan since they love traveling down to NYC to visit us.
For FH's parents, prob just a gift card to a restaurant that they wouldn't typically go to that is nice and maybe tickets to the patchoque theater since they enjoy doing that.
