POLL: Past/Future Brides - First Dance & Inviting Others On Dance Floor

Did/Are you dance/dancing your first dance entirely with DH/FI or are you inviting others to dance as well mid-way?

We have an uneven bridal party, so we are dancing alone the entire first dance. We are also thinking about having it choreographed.

The first dance will just be us, followed by a second dance (good luck dance my dj calls it) with all the guests.

Not sure yet, but since we're both shy about dancing we may invite mid-way.

We are not good dancers so half way through I want my DJ to invite everyone to the dance floor. I still haven't decided how to do it because my BP is uneven. Maybe they'll dance with their dates? I don't know.

We're dancing part of the first dance ourselves and then the bandleader is inviting my parents, FFIL and his wife, and FMIL and FI's youngest brother to dance. I'm not sure if others will come on the dance floor too.

i want ALL eyes on me and DH as we dance on the raised dance floor......

plus, it's the only time I'll get him ON that dance floor for a whole song!

DH & I took dance lessons and danced our first dance alone - More by Bobby Darrin. It was only 2-1/2 minutes.
We then invited everyone to join in the second song played, which was Always & Forever by Shania Twain.

I thought about having it pre rehearsed but 3 1/2 mins is a lot of time to fill and FH does not dance. I want us for about 1.5 mins then bridal party w/ or w/ dates it's completely up to them also our parents and then within seconds I want everyone. We will also have a second song play to keep everyone up.

The only reason we are dancing the whole dance is because we took dance lessons and want to show off!

lol we took dance lessons but in the end it didnt do much good since my dress was constantly in the way

We danced the first dance ('The Promise' by Tracy Chapman) all alone and then had the band call everyone on for Broken Road by Rascal Flatts..it was really touching and everyone came on the dance floor in tears :)
