So, the photographer I REALLY want is of course the most expensive. Not that this will give me more money for my budget but can you guys tell me how much you're paying for photo? If you're getting a photo/video package, maybe try and figure about how much of it is photo (probably 2/3)?

For Photography we are paying about $3800 (it includes the albums, quite a few enlargements, thank you cards and a bunch of extra stuff that I can't recall right now)

The company I am going to see showcase tonight is about $1700 including album, parents albums, negatives, and 100 thank yous.
EDIT :We didn't use this company.

I'm paying $1300 - she's a good friend of my family and is the head photographer for a photo studio She will be at my wedding all day with her assistant and includes B&W, color, all proofs, a bunch of large photos, my photo album and 1 parent album and 60 TU photos.

We are spending about $6000 and our package includes: more than 1000 proofs, a wedding proof album, an engagement sessiom at 3 locations, a proof album for the engagement shots, 2 enlargements of engagement shots in a folio, a coffeetable book, 2 parent albums, online display of proofs, a 12x18 framed enlargement, Digital Negatives among other things.
She offers smaller packages but we splurged :)
I also liked Duet and would have considered going with them (would have saved me $2000) but I didn't like not being able to meet the photographer that would be doing my affair til after I signed the contract.

$3,500 and includes: photographer assistant photojournalistic photographer engagement portrait 60 image bridal album 24 image parent album 16x20 portrait 100 thank yous all proofs in a digital album all negatives on a disk 2 8 x 10

I am using Leli too! he is a great guy and affordable-in the 2-4K range, depending on what you get-my friend had him and is very happy w/him...

we are also using Leli!! Im soo excited about him!! we are payin $1500 for the proofs, and files and an engagement shoot... im going to make my own album with mypublisher.com! :)
we also got a great video price with him too!

the photo package we're looking at is about $4000 but with the photojuranlist and adding 20 extra pages to the album it will be $5000, and then the video is about $1800. Though I'm sure when we go to officially book, they'll give us a better deal for getting both

We got a package for about 3200 if I remember correctly, that includes:
an 8x10 for each member of BP 500-700 proofs 38 pg album for us with multi photo pages 20 pg album for each set of parents 3 8x10's for us 11x24 wall portrait color, black and white, candid and photojournalistic 10 hrs
there's more but we booked a while ago and now my mind went blank!
