Poll: returning shower gifts...

I got a couple duplicates, so those will be returned. And, there was one item that I added onto the registry after seeing it on the internet, but in real life, it's fugly.

I got all 3 clocks that I registered for. So, I returned the 4th clock that I received since it wasn't on my registry and I DO NOT need another clock. I'm actually thinking about returning the 3rd clock because I don't think I even need 3.

I got a BUNCH of stuff that was not on the registry. And, it's stuff like vases, candlesticks, and serving pieces. I already got the ones that I registered for. Some of the stuff is not returnable. Of course, the stuff that IS returnable is the stuff that I do kind of like. So, now I'm debating about whether or not to return that stuff. I could store it away. And, the ladies who gave those gifts are dear to me. But, in reality, I will probably not use most of this stuff. Any thoughts...

Return what you can and get something else.

I only got one duplicate and some stuff that wasn't on my registry but is very nice and i like em. If I did receive stuff that i wasn't too thrilled with i'd return it. The only thing is did they give a gift receipt with the item? I am not sure how some stores are about exchanges or returns without a gift receipt. If you got the receipt- EXCHANGE for something you really want

I initially felt guilty about returning stuff but decided to return what I could of stuff that I did not register for that I could only 'maybe' use.

Unfortunately I still have a bunch of stuff we wanted to return but couldn't because the gifter cut off the bar code (proof of purchase) to get a rebate on the items!!!! FH was STEAMIN' MAD!! For me, it was typical based on the gifter. What can you do ...
