I'm torn on this and need your help!!! I want us both to see each other before the ceremony because I think it will be a special moment for us as well as calm our nerves, as well as give us plenty of time to get pictures done. FH doesn't want to. He prefers to see me when everyone else does..which at that point I'll be HYSTERICAL! Which is better?

I don't plan on seeing FH before the wedding. I think it is nice that he will see me for the first time when everyone else does at the church. Otherwise, to me there is no suprise at how awesome you look.
I myself will be hysterical too and nervous but I still want to do it the traditional way.

really it's a decision that you two have to make! FH and i talked it over and we're doing pics b4 and will see each other. mostly for the pictures (since there is no gap between ceremony & CH) but really--FH will be NERVOUS and wants to calm his nerves...plus i can get the tears out of the way!
my photographer told me how she felt bad cause she had a client that wanted to see her FH b4 and they opted not to--and the moment the doors opened...she BURST into chronic sobbing tears!! all her pics going down the aisle are of her just crying and it looked terrible---as well as she couldn't keep it together very well for the ceremony!
if you think you may be THAT type of bride (and i think i am), then try and see if you can convince FH that you just know you'll be a mess, and you'd rather it be a private thing, than in front of everybody!

NO WAY!!! I am not even seeing him the whole day before!! We are having our rehersal dinner on thursday and then we won't see each other until 10:45 Saturday morning. I want to be surprised to see him in his tux and me in my dress...I like that part. I am sure we sill talk to each other on and off that friday and probably that saturday morning haha but we don't live together and he will be living in our apartment which we are renting starting the 1st of November, so he won't have to see me...JMO
