Pros to having a night job: Extra $ to pay bills occupy time/keeps busy easy job therefore i really don't mind it extra $ to pay bills make new friends keeps me away from all the bs with the fam great discount
Cons: i hate working weekends im exhausted i hate not being there for the bs with the fam i don't see dh im off only 2 days a week and they are weekdays i don't want to get outta bed in the morning i miss all of my shows but i have a dvr i hate working holidays i hate retail no time for chipndip

i voted 'no'... you should stay. I'm still at B&BW on the weekends/nights- even though it suucks- simply because the extra (little) money is always more than we had & is good to have in savings. You never know when you need it. Plus, just in case DH's job pulls a quick one again- you have more money saved to fall back on, ya know?

Didn't you used to bartend???? Am I making that up.
I worked retail for years at GayCrew and it is awful.
Can you get another bartending job one night a week and make as much in one night as you would working your place part time. Also look into catering. I work for a caterer doing private house parties and make at least $150 for about 5 hours work. The extra money is always good to have so I wouldn't leave until you have something else lined up .
Also a good thing we do with the extra money I make is live like we don't have it. Me making an extra $200 a week doesn't mean we eat filet mignon and champagne dinners on Thursday. We put the money away and live off both of our paychecks. The other money is for emergencies/savings.

Yes I used to bartend. I would love to find another bartending job but quite frankly i need to lose alot of weight before that ahppens...but i was thinking about going to a hotel or osmething. i dont know.

Can we go for option #3 and see if DH might try and get a 2nd job also? Maybe working for a bar as a bouncer or something on the wknds so its not every nite?
IMHO if you guys are needing to pay bills and get out of your current place and into your own---I sincerely believe that BOTH of you should be working a 2nd job....not just you. I know that DH gets picky with what he wants to do so finding a nite job could be a PITA but really paying off your debt and getting an apt. is a JOINT goal you guys should both be working towards and he should be bucking up on a 2nd job as well.....shouldn't be on just your shouldes. You're totally exhausted...he should be totally exhausted too!!
Then you can move out--head to the south sho' and chip n dip with me.

He knows he needs a 2nd job. It's just hard bc there are some days hes off at 330 and some days hes off at 6. he works some saturdays and some he doesn't.
these aren't excuses. trust me. im exhausted. but i want tof ind a bartending job like 2x a week..even if it is until 4am lol

I would say that you really have to take into consideration if you can afford it financially. You might have to sacrifice for alittle-but in the end it's worth it.
