Out of listed situations, which is the worst you can imagine FH telling you?

I am surprised at how many would have to break off engagement if their guy was bi

Killed a man: I'd want to know why, how, circumstances, etc....

Been with another man: Bye, Bye!

Has a child he doesn't acknowlege: Bye, Bye!

Former IV drug addict: support him

Hit a previous girlfriend: Put on my boxing gloves and let him know who's boss!!

me either, I'm shocked at the poll. Don't get me wrong, if I found that out I would definitely need to talk to my man before I even decided to marry him (just to make sure that he was not homoesxual , nor with me because of society pressures, etc) But I certinaly would not consider half as 'bad' as some of the other secrets listed in your poll.

Unless the killing was self defense and/or he had a PERFECTLY logical explanation about the circumstances, I don't think I could ever imagine getting past the fact my man had killed someone . It would scare me he had that kind of anger inside him, and those types of tendencies. Of course again, it would depend on the circumstances.

And the worst one in this entire poll is a man who has a child and doesn't acknowledge of take care of him/her. That is inexcusble completely, and what I actually voted for. I could never truly love and respect a man who did that to his child. JMO

I know I am so shocked by my answer, I started thinking of this last night, I know it is not right....

I should have made the poll more specific, like killing the other man was not out of self defense, but a moment of rage, or like a robbery/homocide or something... I bet people would still pick the other man choice

This is exactly why I answered the way I did.

I guess i am just imagining the conversation and the day after. If he had another child, I would look into changing that situation. I would be shocked, but I would try to change situation.

If he killed, I don't know, I think I would wake up the next morning not turned off by him, but def stunned.

IV drug user, I would feel sick to my stomach and go get blood test asap, but I don't think my feelings for him would really change.


But if he was with another man, I would look at him different. I think I would be stunned, and my view on him would change I think because I am so attracted to him.

I agree completely.

I think killing soemone is worse thant not acknowledging a child-- it depends on the circumstance--if he/she was givenup for adoption, ihe wouldn't know anything about the child.

And if he killed soemone, it could have been an accidnet, but other than that, it is the worst offense listed.

killing another man-it would depend on the circumstances-

not acknowlegding a child-I don't know that there are any circumstances under which I'd be all good with that.

being with another man-this might freak me out a bit-I'd want to circumstances, but it might be something that would creep back into your head

that is a good point, I think that would get me over the child or killing situation, but still the other man would be the most uneasy with me

Killing another person is the worse..I don't wanna die!! I could be the next victim..

But, if he was with another man, and is now straight..it would bother me...I don't know if I would stay with him..If I did, I feel like I would question his sexuality all of the time. I guess it would really depend on the situation.

Ignoring a child - that's bad too. I would dump his ***..especially if I wanted my own children.

Drug problem - I would be upset, but support him...if he started using again..I would probably leave him...if it didn't get resolved down the road..

Abuse - If we were with each other for a VERY long time and he has never laid a hand on me, I would probably be shocked at this secret, but not leave him..again depends on the situation..

now I am telling my sister(openly gay) about my post and she says I am borderline homophobic, which I don't consider myself being one. she said it is weird how I would make the choice of chosing the one that does not hurt or effect anyone else, only DH. things that make you go hmmmmm

a lot of people here wer freaked out by it, but are probably ok with OTHER people being gay.

People are often ok with a situation, untill it directly affects them.

I am actually a little offended at how many people are so freaked out by it.
