which gift do you spend more on? Without considering the 'depends who it's for' factor. Assume both gifts are for the a person who is the same relation to you...
i voted for same amount, i think it may be a few dollars in either directiion depending on the items on the registry. but i would try to stick to a budget for both.

i know that i could spend more on baby stuff, so i probably do wind up spending more for a baby shower gift.
Since the bridal shower generally was often preceeded by an engagement gift and followed by a wedding gift, I am inclined to spend more for a baby shower gift.
